Public Good – Te Iwi Whānui Invitation to Education and Political Literacy in New Zealand - eepurl.com/ghgjLP

So the stories about the public sector use of spies and surveillance has disappeared from @NZStuff. Bigger fish to fry. Aggressive vets, lime scooters and punches thrown in coffee bars. stuff.co.nz #SillySeason

Another news coup (NOT) as @NZStuff takes a pre-digested OIA from the Tax Payer's Union and implies that we should be better served by having public servants negotiate foreign treaties while exhausted from jet lag. stuff.co.nz/national…

If you haven't read it yet and didn't get it for Christmas get @BWB_NZ 's bwb.co.nz/books/gove… Government for the Public Good by @MaxRashbrooke and put it in first place in your 'to read in 2019' bookshelf.

@ardrigh It seems locked in but the general move to including transwomen in women's sports could stifle women's involvement completely and sports women are not happy at all. If you look up Hannah Mouncy or read about Fallon Fox & others in this - every sport. wnd.com/2017/03/fema…

In the 2020 Olympics self-id'ed trans women athletes whose testosterone has been artificially lowered for a year are eligible to compete in ALL women's events. This makes a mockery of women's sport. Many, including some thoughtful trans women, think this is not a good idea. twitter.com/FionneOr…

@NZStuffPolitics NZ media being played by releasing this sensational 6 month old tape on the SAME DAY that we hear that legislators in the last government were, at the very least, incurious about the public sector's multiple spy contracts.

@matroked @NewshubNZ Conduct unbecoming from @NewshubNZ and Tova O'Brien. It was after all the public servants who let down their Minister and @NZNationalParty who had the inside story to leak.

@greenjaneNZ @golrizghahraman Having said all that I do think there is room for accommodation, compromise and debate (although too late for NZ's law). I've been meeting with & putting out feelers to people but many are terrified of the blow back.

@greenjaneNZ @golrizghahraman Of which the undebated & anti-democratic NZ BDRRM Bill is just one example. So I have full empathy (& quite some personal familiarity & understanding) of people with dysphoria. But my political priorities are the rights of lesbians, natal women and they also extend to gay men.
